When Daniel first heard about Uplift and Inspire Foundation's skills training program, he was unsure whether learning a digital skill could really change his situation. Like many young people in his community, he wanted to work and become financially independent, but opportunities were limited.
Daniel decided to take a chance and enrolled in the Web Development program. At the beginning, even basic concepts were unfamiliar to him. He had little experience with computers and had never written a line of code before.
During the training, Daniel learned the fundamentals of web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how websites are structured and deployed. More importantly, he learned how to approach problems, work consistently and turn what he was learning into practical projects.
The training was not always easy. There were days when he struggled with difficult concepts and considered giving up. However, with support from his trainers and fellow participants, Daniel continued to practice and improve.
By the end of the program, he had built several practical projects and developed the confidence to begin offering his services to others. What started as a training opportunity gradually became a pathway toward earning an income.
Today, Daniel is using his skills to build websites for small businesses and individuals in his community. He is continuing to improve his skills while exploring new opportunities in the technology space.
